On September 10th, I experienced my first solo exhibit opportunity at Norwest Gallery of Art in Detroit, MI. In Living Color was a culmination of creative ideas infused with color. Leading up to this exhibit, I really didn't feel pressure to create masterpieces, I wanted to let the stroke of the paint brush or pallet knife dictate which colors went where and when. I was excited to have my family, friends, framily and people not yet introduced experience my work. I looked forward to having them view my work from fresh lenses and perspectives. I'm happy to say that I accomplished this goal. I was happy to sell 5 pieces in total. However, the most satisfying part of the entire experience was seeing the genuine interest in my work.
